High Precision Slewing Drive

 

Slewing drive is usually composed of worm, slewing bearing, housing, motor and other components. Since its main components adopt slewing bearing, it can bear axial force, radial force and tipping moment at the same time. Compared with traditional slewing products, the slewing drive is easy to install, easy to maintain, and saves installation space to a greater extent.

 

The product has a wide range of applications and can be widely used in heavy-duty flatbed trucks, container cranes, truck-mounted cranes, mining machinery, aerial work vehicles, radar devices, solar power generation systems for sun patrols, construction machinery and new energy fields. Usually when the rotary drive is installed on the main engine, the meshing backlash of the worm gear and the worm has a very important influence on the performance of the main engine.

 

In order to ensure the operation flexibility and smoothness of the slewing drive, there are certain requirements for the backlash of the worm gear and worm of the slewing drive. However, the existence of backlash in the worm gear transmission means that when the rotation direction changes, there is no transmission for a certain distance, which affects the transmission accuracy of the rotary drive device. Slewing drives are often used in low-speed and heavy-load work situations.

 

With continuous use, the wear of worm gears and worms causes the increase of backlash, and the increase in backlash cannot be adjusted to compensate, resulting in a continuous increase in meshing impact. Features

 

1. Gear ratio

The rotation of the slewing ring drive reduces the speed of the driven member and also multiplies its torque and increasing it proportionally as the speed decreases.The speed ratio of shafts depends upon the relation of the number of threads on the worm to the number of teeth in the worm wheel or gear.

 

2. Hourglass worm

Our slewing drives are using hourglass worm technology, in which the worm is shaped to engage more teeth in the gear. This increased tooth engagement results in greater strength, efficiency and durability.

 

3. Function

Slewing drives function with standard worm technology, in which the worm on the horizontal shaft acts as the driver for the gear, in general, the shaft is driven by electric gear motor. And it is self-locking.
